Short version: Second Thought does not collect, transmit, sell or share any data about you. There is no account and no analytics.
Your block list, schedules, daily allowances, intercept-page settings and block counts are stored locally in your own browser using Chrome's storage API. They stay on your device. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.
Uninstalling the extension removes all of it.
Second Thought asks for permission to access a website only at the moment you add that website to your block list, and only because Chrome requires that access before an extension is allowed to redirect the site to its own page.
It does not read, record or transmit the content of those pages, or of any other page. It has no access at all to sites you have not added. When you remove a site from your list, its permission is removed with it.
Payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
After payment you receive a licence key. When the extension checks that key, it sends the key — and nothing else — to our licence server. No browsing data, no device identifiers, no advertising IDs. We store the key alongside the email address you gave Stripe, purely so we can give you the key back if you lose it.
Ask us to delete that record at any time and we will.
No analytics or telemetry. No trackers. No advertising. No remote code — every line the extension runs ships inside the package. Nothing is sold or shared with third parties, used for any purpose unrelated to the extension's single function, or used to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
Second Thought is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the revision date below changes with it. Any change that affected what the extension collects would also require a new version, reviewed by the Chrome Web Store before it reached you.
